Requirement: In this post, I will describe the various steps that are required to uninstall Oracle Database 19c from the Windows 10 Operating System.

Solution: For uninstalling Oracle Database 19c on the Windows 10 Operating System follow the steps as shown below. Basically, the process I will describe here is to delete the all the related Ora* registry keys, files and folders manually.

Step 1: Stop Oracle* services.

For that, Press Windows key > type Services > Stop all Oracle related services as highlighted below.

Step 2: Delete Oracle* registry keys

For that, Press Windows key > type regedit > delete the following Windows registry keys if it exists.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Oracle*

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node/Oracle* (64-bits Windows)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Services/Oracle*

Then, please Reboot the System.

Step 3: Delete the following Oracle* folders and files if it exists.

  • C:\Oracle or ORACLE_BASE
  • C:\Program Files\Oracle
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\Oracle
  • C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ Oracle-related folders
  • C:\Users Oracle-related folders

Step 4: Empty %Temp% folder (example path is C:\Users\Susanto\AppData\Local\Temp) and also empty the Recycle Bin folder.

Then, please Reboot the System. Thus, with that the Oracle Database 19C is successfully uninstalled from the Windows Operating System.

Hence, the solution to our requirement.
