Requirement: I have a page build in Oracle APEX. In that page I want to have two tables: Employees Table, and Departments Table. Each of these tables I want to put inside a Tab, that is Employees Table will be in one Tab, and the Departments Table will be in the other Tab. And by default, the Tab which contains the Employees Table will be open by default. The screen show of the above requirement is as below.
Default Screen will look as below:
When we click on the Departments Tab, the screen will look as below:
Solution: For solution of the above requirement follow the steps as shown below:
Step 1: Create a Blank Page in Oracle APEX.
Step 2: Create a Region in the page created in Step 1. Set the Title of the Region as Tabs in Page. Change the Template of the Region as Tabs Container.
Step 3: Create two Sub-Regions inside the Region created in Step 2. Set the Title of the first Sub-Region as Employees Tab, and the second Sub-Region as Departments Tab.
Change the Type of each of these Sub-Regions as Interactive Report.
Now for the Employees Tab set the Source Type as Table/View and the Table Name as EMP. Here EMP table should exist, if not then please create the EMP table.
Similarly, for the Departments Tab set the Source Type as Table/View and the Table Name as DEPT. Here DEPT table should exist, if not then please create the DEPT table.
Step 4: Save and Run the application. Thus, the ran application will look as below:
When we click on the Departments Tab, the screen will look as below:
