Requirement: In an Interactive Report in Oracle APEX, if the cell does have any value or say it has NULL, then in such cases, the cell is display with dash (-) instead of the NULL or blank.
Thus, now the requirement is, we should not display the cell with dash (-), instead the cell should be shown blank.
Screenshot of the problem statement: Here we will have dash (-) displayed in the cell instead of blank for NULL.
Screenshot of the solution: Here it will simply display the cell as blank for NULL.
Solution: For solution of the above requirement follow the steps as shown below:
Step 1: Go to the Interactive Reports
Step 2: Click on Attributes > Go to the Property Palette > Appearance > Go to the Show Null Values as property.
By default the value for Show Null Values as property is as below. That is it has a dash (-) in it.
Step 3: Simply remove the dash (-) and instead keep it as blank.
Step 4: Save and run the application. Thus, the ran application will now display blank instead of dash (-) for NULL cell.
Hence, the solution to our requirement.
