Requirement: I have a WSDL URL of the Web Service, using which I want to get the data and display the data in the af:table.

Prerequisites: We will be using the Web Service that we created as a part of the post Create POJO based JAX-WS with Oracle JDeveloper. We have to keep this application up and running while we prepare the solution for this particular requirement.

Please copy the  WSDL URL of Web Service that we created in the above blog post.

The WSDL URL is : http://localhost:7101/Client/EmployeesPort?WSDL

Solution: For solution of the above requirement follow the steps as shown below:

Step 1: Create an ADF Fusion Web Application

Step 2: Right click Model Project > New > From Gallery

Expand Business Tier > Select Data Controls > Web Service Data Control (SOAP/REST) > Click OK

Step 3: Give the Name as EmployeesWS. Also set the URL as http://localhost:7101/Client/EmployeesPort?WSDL

Click Next

Step 4: Shuttle method to the selected side that we want to consume. Here I have selected getEmployeeList method.

Click Finish button

Thus, the DataControls.dcx file is generated and we can see EmployeesWS under the Data Control Palette.

Step 5: Create a demo.jspx page inside the ViewController project.

Select Return under the getEmployeeList() under the Data Controls Palette > Drag and drop it on the demo.jspx page as an ADF Table.

Select Row Selection as Single Row. Check Enable Sorting, Check Enable Filtering, and Check Read-Only Table > Click OK

Save all and run the application. Thus, the ran application is shown below:

Hence, the solution to our requirement.
