Error Description: I am having a JDeveloper installed with the below version details.
* Studio Edition Version 126.96.36.199.0
* Build JDEVADF_188.8.131.52.0-NS_GENERIC_170105.1224.S
Also, my initial version of JDK was jdk-15.0.2_windows-x64_bin. When I created the first ADF Application it worked fine, But when I restarted my system and then tried to run the same ADF application I started getting the error “Error: Compilation aborted by user in JDeveloper“
It was not even allowing me to build the application. I tried deleting the entire JDeveloper folder under %AppData%, but of no use. Even I tried to uninstalled jdk-15.0.2_windows-x64_bin and installed jdk-8u251-windows-x64, but still not able to fix the error. Then I tried to reinstall JDeveloper but that too did not work.
Solution: For the solution of the above error then I followed the below steps:
Approach 1: Open JDeveloper IDE in Administrator mode.
First try to run/open your JDeveloper IDE in the Administrator Mode. But in this case it will prompt us to enter the Password multiple times, which could be little annoying.
Approach 2: Pointing JDeveloper to jdk-7u80-windows-i586
Step 1: Uninstall jdk-8u251-windows-x64 and installed jdk-7u80-windows-i586
Step 2: Right Click ViewController project > Click Project Properties > Then in the Project Properties dialog or wizard, click on Change button.
Set the Java SE Executable path as C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.7.0_80\jre\bin\java.exe > Click OK > Click OK
This path may be different for your case.
Step 3: Repeat steps similar to Step 2 for the Model Project also.
Now, if we try to run the application, it run without any error.
Hence, the solution to the error.
Thanks & Regards,
